Live auction authentication
I purchased 2 purses in a live auction for $1800- $2200.00. They arrived with no eBay authentication but rather a piece a paper from a third party authentication service. I had believed that purchases over $500.00 were sent to eBay for authentication. It’s left me feeling very uneasy about my purchases. Can you please give me insight on this practice. Thank you

Items in that price range generally do qualify for the authenticity guarantee. Items that will be authenticate show the guarantee with a blue checkmark. There are some factors that can cause an item to not go for authentication, such as the buyer using a PO Box for their address, or the seller being international not in the included countries.
But - I am not sure how it being a live auction changes the authentication requirement.
