Listings removed for violating policy that does not exist.
I have have been battling either a moderator or an LLM for weeks now. I'm selling a printed partial FRT kit for glock handguns and repeatedly but inconsistently it is being taken down, destroying my sales flow. There is no mention of FRTs in the firearm and accessories policy section. This is either moderator overreach or a broken filter. I see a ton of similar listings and none of them are touched. I'd really love it if eBay would stop ruining my only source of income right now.

Mentor3 weeks ago · EditedHi @randomtrashemporium Whether or not your item is in your opinion allowed, if eBay says it's not, don't relist it. eBay is quick to hand out sanctions to accounts that attempt to relist items that have been taken down.
Account sanctions range from temporary restrictions to full out prohibiting the account from selling at all. These boards are full of pleas for help from sellers who have been locked out of selling, but there is nothing anyone can do to help them. There is no work-around. Once you're on eBay's radar, there's no getting off it.
eBay is in California, where Glocks are all but banned. There may be other venues that allow your items, such as Offer Up or Facebook Marketplace. There are no seller protections on those sites, but few restrictions either. Good luck!

OP3 weeks agoHow could anyone know these things are not allowed if they don't state them anywhere except when they are dishing out punishment? It's completely absurd.

OP3 weeks agoFurthermore, glock slides are widely available and allowed on eBay. Trigger components are explicitly stated to be allowed. Nothing here makes sense.

Mentor3 weeks agoeBay is unlikely to suspend you the first time it happens, but if you then intentionally relist an item that eBay has previously removed and explicitly told you is not allowed, then you cannot honestly say you were not informed that it was not allowed once that has happened.
You are not arguing with a "moderator" -- your listing is either being reported by another user or being caught by a bot. There is no point trying to argue in either of those cases. List such items elsewhere rather than risk losing your eBay account.

Forced Reset Trigger kits allow for rapid follow-up shots by mechanically pushing the trigger forward as the slide cycles. Ordinarily, the trigger resets when the shooter releases the finger pressure off the trigger. I don't know those people's reasoning, but maybe somebody with a little knowledge, a notoriously dangerous thing, is conflating a FRT with a bump stock or something.

OP3 weeks agoThanks for the response. It's just bizarre. It's confounding and baseless. It references no explicit policy. Who or what is making these decisions? Does an actual person even look at these things? It's just been terrible. I'm trying to pay my bills after losing my job to LLMs selling a desired, crafted product, that is legal where I reside and is only sold to others living in places it is legal and here I am being corralled and arbitrarily moderated by more LLMs.

As related by my esteemed colleague,@tenbigdogs , this has gone beyond considerations of the merit of the listing removal . . . that's moot now. The situation now is that it has been [quoting your original post] "repeatedly . . . it is being taken down" [emphasis added]. By relisting a removed item, you've skated onto thin ice. You're risking a suspension, possibly a permanent one. It's a tough pill to swallow, but I recommend that you accept your predicament – grudgingly – as just another injustice in the world and put it behind you. I wish I had an advice more to your liking, and to mine. Good luck.
