Listingprices
If there is a promotional listing price of $0.00 for up to 250 listed items how long does the promotion last and why would I be charged a fee of $35.00 if I listed one sports card.

When eBay talks about free listings, it is free insertions. Each free insertion is for the listing length: Fixed price listings are 30 days and Auctions are usually 7 days. Then it renews and depending on the situation, you may have an insertion fee the next month.
i can think of no reason for $35 fee, except possibly a reserve price.
The fee for a Reserve Price is $5.00 or 7.5% of the reserve price, whichever is greater, -whether your item sells or not-. (I do not recommend this option, it is too expensive – every 7 days you pay it again.)
Please look at your transactions and it will tell you exactly what the fee is for. I can tell you how to get rid of future fees.
All of the fees should be listed here:

When selling with an Auction, there are 3 price fields
1) Starting Price
2) Buy It Now Price
3) Reserve Price
- Starting price is the lowest bid that will be accepted. Some people like to put a low price here to gain attention for your Auction, but you also risk selling the item at that -low- price. Do not start it too low since you may have to sell it at that price.
- Buy It Now price is usually 30% higher than the Starting price and it is an option available -until- you get your first bid. Someone can pay that price and end the auction before bidding starts. After the first bid is placed, that price goes away. It is -not- a minimum price.
- Reserve price is above the Starting price. It is insurance that the item will not sell for less than the Reserve Price. The Reserve Price is hidden from bidders. Most sellers do not use this because it costs a fee and it discourages bidding/ bidders who do not like the hidden minimum.
- The fee for a Reserve Price is $5.00 or 7.5% of the reserve price, whichever is greater, -whether your item sells or not-. (I do not recommend this option, it is too expensive – every 7 days you pay it again.)
TIP ==>> You should always start an Auction at the amount you are willing to accept. (It is like a Reserve, only no fee!)

Mentor5 months agoYou specified Freight shipping on that item. How large and heavy is it? Freight is usually used for items weighing more than 150 pounds. If less than 70 pounds, you can use USPS, or if more than 70 pounds you can use Fed Ex or UPS.
