Listing Violation
Recently I listed a watch for sale. I've been selling on eBay for the last 21 years.
The model of the watch is Paolo Diamond. That's because there is a diamond on the dial of the watch where normally the number 12 would be.
I did not add the word "diamond" to attract buyers looking for a diamond; "Diamond" is the model name of the watch.
Doesn't eBay have a way of telling that the word "diamond" is sometimes a word that appears in the name of a model of the item being sold? I spent probably a half hour or more trying to edit my listing to pass muster with eBay's Big-Brother-Eye.
Frankly, I object to eBay's heavy handed approach in this matter. If a real human being had called me or texted me or sent me an email to tell me what was wrong with my listing, the problem could have been solved tout de suite. Instead, eBay seems to be relying on some software program to do their work for them.
Moreover, when I tried unsuccessfully to talk to a representative on the phone, I wound up feeling even more negatively about eBay and their "ways." Instead of talking with a live person, I'm told to go read an article to have my question answered. What a lazy way to help sellers resolve their issues and difficulties.
Frankly, I'm steamed. Can you blame me?
