Okay, after randomly stumbling across a listing kind of like what I want, I'm pretty sure what I'm after is the "bulk savings" option. But even with Google I can't figure out how to do it. What simple-yet-hidden button am I overlooking here?

I've found myself in this situation twice now, so hopefully there's a way to do this and I'm just not good enough with variations to figure it out.
Basically, I have 30+ units of something fairly inexpensive which some people might want one of or some people might want 10 of (think buying one for themselves vs. buying a bunch as party favors). Is there a way I can make a single listing that gives the option of buying 1 item, a 10-pack of them, or a 30-pack of them, with all sales hitting the same inventory pool?
In case anyone is asking "why would he do that??" it's because if someone wants to wholesale take them off my hands I'd sell them at literally half the regular listing price, but there's no way to do something like that via volume discounts. Not that I'm aware of anyway.
I kind of figured out a way to do the first part (1/10/30) using variations, but it wants the quantity for each variation. So for example: if I make a listing with 30 singles available and one 30-pack available, and someone tries to buy the 30-pack plus 10 singles I'm oversold.
Is there a way to do this, or am I just going to have to make a decision about whether I want to sell single vs bulk?

Mentor3 years agoIt sounds like you don't want to use variations due to the limitations of specifying the number available for each variation. If you have 200 available, you can create a single listing with 200 available, and the buyer can specify how many they want. They is allowing a volume discount. During the listing creation, you specify the shipping cost for 1 item, and the additional cost for each additional item.
