Listing removed- alleged counterfeit item
I was informed by eBay that a listing of mine was removed due to it being counterfeit. I don’t believe it is, and in fact there is another auction item that is exactly the same.
I don’t have a problem with eBay enforcing this, even if it is loosely based. But I do have a problem if they are inconsistent about enforcing.
is this something that is reported by other sellers? If this was an automated algorithm, you would think the other item would’ve been purged as well. If my item was reported by another seller, what’s to keep them from making false claims so as to eliminate a competing item?
Of course there is no way to contact a real person at eBay, so I thought I would reach out to the community.
