Listing Fees
I have been an eBay member since the year 2000. In the "olden days," one always saw the charges for each listing before one posted it. I've discovered that is not the case these days. I recently posted some 3-day auctions. At no time was I notified that the 3-day auction would result in an additional $1.00 per listing charge. If so, I would have changed my auctions to the 5-day auction. When I eventually saw the 3-day auctions were being charged an additional $1, I could no longer change the auction time. In the end, I was charged $1.00 per each 3-day auction I listed and the money was taken out of my checking account. It does no good to look back to see what happened. Listing charges should always be shown up front before the listing is finalized.

Mentor2 years agoIf you select to use any optional feature that has an extra charge, that charge is shown to you above the submit button.
I don't usually run auctions, but I went to one of my drafts and changed it to auction, to run 3 days, and this is what I saw at the bottom of the screen:+

OP2 years agoThank you for your response. No, on the three-day auction listings I made, I saw no additional $1.00 charge for the special duration fee. Had I seen that initially, I would not have listed 19 more three-day auctions. The additional charge for three-day auctions did not appear on my screen and this resulted in $20.00 fees for low-priced postal history items I was selling.

Mentor2 years agoThe screen shot I uploaded is from my desktop computer. Are you using a smart phone when you list your items? If so, perhaps that $1 charge is displayed elsewhere.
You need to contact ebay. Perhaps if you explain how you were not shown the listing fee when you submitted those listings, they might help you.
