It's been decades since I've been on Ebay. How do I list an item for auction and set a time, Ex 3 or 5 days? It seemed that's how it was done years ago, though now the few items I've listed are on for a month or so. This is not my intention as I am looking to move some lifelong items and not trying to glean the fields? Please advise.

Mentor1 year agoAll your listings are fixed price listings that have a 30 day duration but will automatically relist unless you manually end the listing. You did sign up for the Managed Payments System in order to receive your payouts. eBay has not used PayPal to receive buyer payments for several years. Without verifying a checking account you will not receive a payout for any sales you make.

·1 year agoWhen you set up a listing you have a choice on the listing tool for it to be a Buy It Now listing or an Auction (in the same section where you set the price). If you choose Auction, you will also then be given a choice of timeframes, depending on the category I think but generally ranging from 1-10 days, with the default usually being 7 days.
You cannot edit your existing listings to just change them to auction format, but you can end them (without any penalties, if they are currently Buy It Now listings), and relist them as Auction format. That said, you probably have listing limits and may run up against those if you do that.
