What can you do when a seller doesn't send item you bought, and you put ticket in and contacted seller as eBay requested. Now it's 2 months later and the only option on ticket is contact seller. I've contacted seller numerous times and he hasn't responded. So, my question is Why is this allowed to continuously happen. I was also ripped off by a seller who has 457 bad reviews. Each one of them is customers complaining they never got what they paid for. 457 customers ripped off and yet there they are still selling. No action taken. CRAZY. What is it that I can do to get something done?

OP2 years agoAsk them to step in they direct you to contact seller, well I did contact seller numerous times with no reply. then you go to support page and type in your situation and after spending 10 minutes explaining the issue and finally hit send. "Opps we blah blah blah error, try again later". Try again later same thing-try again same thing, until you are so frustrated you give up. which Imo is by design. If you get ripped off by a scammer on eBay, You think they would care. They don't, they profited off of you getting burnt. There is scammers thriving on eBay. Thats what matters most here Profit and refunds are not profitable.
You shouldn't have to ask them to step in It should be automatic. Integrity. I love selling on eBay but buying, not so much.

Mentor2 years agoCheck the status of your case and ask eBay to step in using the link here:

Asking eBay to step in is how eBay knows the situation has not been resolved by the seller. If you do not ask eBay to step in, the case will close automatically without resolution after about thirty days.

Mentor3 years agoeBay has a procedure to deal with an item that does not arrive, but you must actually use it within thirty days of the last estimated delivery date shown in your purchase history.

If the seller cannot provide tracking that shows delivery, in three business days you can ask eBay to step in and refund you.
After another thirty days, your option to get help from eBay expires.
At that point, you may have recourse through PayPal or your credit card issuer. PayPal and most credit cards offer up to six months protection from the date of transaction.
