Link to French eBay Site

Question

I made an offer to French seller for 4 separate items. He agreed to the terms and sent a link to an eBay page that was in French. The page would not accept my eBay name/password and does not respond as the US eBay site does. How can I get the French site to translate to English and respond like a US site?

Did you make the offer on the US site or on the French site? Was this using an eBay offer, or through messages?

First, log into eBay at https://ebay.fr so that you are already logged in and won't need to do so from an unrecognized page. If you come in on a translator, the sign-in may not work.

After logging in to ebay.fr, my Firefox browser allowed me to open an eBay page in either language, which was a nice touch, but actions may be limited. Alternatively, you can have google translate a page, by clicking the "websites" button and pasting the foreign URL.

In both cases, the English version may just be a non-functional reference when working in the other language.
