Limited the amount of items you can list
Summary: yardazz is experiencing difficulties with their eBay seller account, which remains in "Below Standard" status despite maintaining 100% positive feedback and fulfilling all shipping commitments. They have contacted eBay support multiple times with little improvement and suspect a metric issue or a need for manual review. mr_lincoln and mudshark61369 suggested strategies like increasing selling volume and adjusting shipping policies, but yardazz highlights being unable to list more items due to account restrictions. The lack of metric transparency from eBay and extended duration for defect resolution were discussed, along with alternative outreach methods to escalate the issue.
Hi everyone,
I'm hoping someone can point me in the right direction.
Late last year, I had several order cancellations, which caused my seller performance to drop to Below Standard. Since then, I've worked hard to improve my account. I currently have 100% positive feedback, have only canceled one order this year, and I usually ship the same day with tracking.
However, my account is still showing "Seller performance is below standard" and my selling limits are still being restricted.
I contacted eBay support in March and again in May. Both representatives told me my account looked fine and that my performance would be recalculated, but nothing has changed. Today I tried calling again and was "disconnected" twice.
Has anyone experienced this? Where can I find the specific metric that's keeping my account in Below Standard status? Is there a way to request a manual review or appeal, or is there another department I should contact?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Thank you for the reply. That's what's confusing to me.
For the past six months, I've checked my account after each monthly evaluation, and my status has never changed. During that time, I've had no defects, only one cancellation this year, and I consistently meet or exceed my shipping commitment. My listings have a 3-day handling time, but I usually ship the same day unless the order is placed over a weekend.
The other problem is that I'm being told to "sell my way out of Below Standard," but I can't because my account is restricted. When I try to list additional items, I receive a message that I can't list due to the limitation on my account.
That's why I'm trying to figure out whether there's a specific metric that's stuck or whether my account needs a manual review. It seems like I'm caught in a loop where I can't improve my selling volume because I'm prevented from listing more items.
Has anyone had eBay manually review an account when the monthly evaluations didn't seem to update the status?

Some defects take 12 months to roll off an account, that much we know but we do not have access to all the metrics eBay's algorithms use to electronically monitor accounts. You might try reaching out to eBay via Social Media - Instagram.: contact customer service by sending a PRIVATE message on social media. Customer service verifies your identity before responding.

Your account may show below standard if you have any late shipping defects. There are times when having a Same or 1 day handling time can get you in trouble. You may want to change that to a 3 day handing time and add that info to your Shipping details. You may also want to reconsider your No Returns policy. It does not stand in the face of ebay's Money Back Guarantee, if a Not As described dispute is filed. below are two links that may help you.

OP2 weeks agoThanks for the suggestions. I actually already have a 3-day handling time set on all of my listings, even though I usually ship the same day unless the order comes in over a weekend. I also don't have any late shipment defects showing on my account.
That's why I'm so confused. The issues that caused my account to fall Below Standard were from late last year. Since then, I've had no defects, only one cancellation this year, and I've consistently met my handling time. Yet my status hasn't changed after six monthly evaluations.
I'm starting to wonder if there's something on the back end that isn't updating correctly or if my account needs a manual review?

Cancelling transactions is a really bad thing to do and even though you only did one of those this year it probably had a negative impact on your account. In basic terms you have to sell you way out of Below Standard and NOT cancel any more transactions. Feedback % has little to do with the financial end of your account.
If you have lower priced items you can list to get your selling volume up that would help.
eBay reviews accounts on the 20th of each month. IF a change in status is earned it will not go into effect until the 20th of the following month. So if on August 20th you achieve Above Standard it would not actually go into effect until September 20th.
