Mentor1 week agoThe seller you mention is located in a nation other than the USA.
If you have been "hit" with import fees from UPS, eBay has nothing to do with that.
"theshoppingmom2" has given you a proper answer.
BTW, "naming and shaming" another seller is against the rules of these forums. A moderator might remove that name from this thread . . . . . . .

OP1 week agoThey need to modify their listings as I stated It is very deceptive and when I complained to them they stated the return shipping fees would be taken out of my refund if I did not pay the fees and accept the shipment
I guess eBay doesn't care about the buyers Just the revenue from the sales fees

OP1 week agoIts totally false advertising If its not true then why bother having it part of the listings and check out in the 1st place?????
I'm sure that would be JUST FINE NO??
IN FACT the listings should state
'ALL ITEMS ARE SUBJECT TO ADDITIONAL FEES AFTER CHECKOUT" But they dont do that because it would affect sales Another crock of deceptive bullxxxx that EBAY allows and actually seems to endorse

Mentor1 week ago · Edited**** is not falsely advertising; rather, there is a common misunderstanding here between seller fees and government import fees.
When a seller states there are "no additional fees," they mean that they will not charge you anything beyond the item price and the stated shipping cost.
However, when items cross international borders, they are subject to your country's customs laws. The charges you are receiving from UPS are government import duties, taxes (like VAT or GST), and carrier brokerage fees.
Here is how international shipping works on eBay:
Seller vs. Government: Sellers have no control over, and do not receive any money from, foreign customs duties.
Buyer Responsibility: Under eBay’s official policies, buyers are legally considered the importer of record and are responsible for paying all local customs duties, taxes, and import fees.
Shipping Methods: If a listing does not use eBay's International Shipping Program (which collects duties at checkout), the item is shipped "Delivery Duties Unpaid" (DDU). This means the carrier (UPS) must collect those taxes from you before they can legally hand over the package.
To avoid surprise fees in the future, it is always best to check your country's de minimis tax threshold for international purchases before buying from overseas sellers.
