I was told by one of your employees I would receive a $35 gift card back for and item but I didn’t get a refund for because the seller lied. Long story short. It doesn’t matter. Your employee said yes we’re going to give you the gift card that was almost a week ago Still no gift card also, do you have a guy selling things that are broken and used using new pictures told me to send the item to some warehouse in the United States. However, I realize he sent it from China. I sent him the product back over two weeks ago and I haven’t gotten a refund. There is no tracking. He told me to send it in the mail. It was a very small item so I put it in an envelope and he said he would refund now he’s claiming he didn’t get it . I want my $30 refund am I $35 gift card

·3 years agoSorry, to receive a refund, you have to have tracking that shows the item was returned to the seller.
Without tracking, you have no proof it was shipped back.

·3 years agoThere's no way eBay will force the seller to refund if you don't have a tracking number showing delivery confirmation to the seller's address. The seller tricked you. And then they don't issue gift cards in lieu of a refund.
The cheapest return delivery cost with tracking is over $60.
If the seller was responsible for return shipping and didn't or couldn't provide a return label you needed to go back tocthe case you opened and ask eBay for help, citing the seller was not providing return shipping $. eBay would've refunded and told you that you didn't need to return it.
