I have never check my level before and noticed it was down a point or 2 becuase of shipping. Now they say its too late to do anything about it cause I waited to long. I had 4 items my buyers asked me to hold on shipping as they were out of town for winter or few weeks. One was for 2 months. They all told me that if there was a issue with ebay theywould send a note. When I received a notice from ebay shipping was late i replied customer asked to hold item out of town and never heard anymore. There is no complaints from the buyers in my feed back only positive so didn't thing anything about it. Now i noticed ebay docked me. Ive worked hard at a good rating for 16 yrs and sure didnt know I should check everything.

These are the options when a buyer asks you to wait on shipping >
1. Advise the buyer that per eBay policy you are required to ship within your stated handling time or your receive a late shipping defect on your account. The buyer can ask the post office to hold their mail, this is easy to do online.
2. Cancel the sale as buyer requested, refund the buyer, relist when they return. I personally don't recommend this option as buyers may change their minds about the sale.

OP2 years agoi notified ebay i wouldn’t be shipping until and gave a date. i’m just trying to have a good working relationship with buyer. i thought being accommodating was good. when i mentioned there could be a problem with the buyer they said they would contact ebay on my behalf so there was never a complaint from them and i never heard anything from ebay. doesn’t matter it’s done i learned the hard way. thanks
