Lennox s40: turns out it was stolen???

Hi Ebay Community,

I bought a Lennox s40 thermostat on March 28 2026. Lennox (apparently) had a shipment of these that were stolen in the past. The reseller that sold it to me on March 28 2026 didn't know it was stolen, per them. It is outside of the "30 day window". I'm stuck with a $400 bill and a non-working thermostat. ALSO, the AllState policy didn't cover it...which went to square trade?!? The whole thing is pretty upsetting. Can anyone offer some guidance on this?
