Legitimate eBay Message about Item Sold

Question

I received what looks to be an eBay message - "Great News - Your Item has Sold" with a button to contact the buyer and instructions on handling the local pickup and buyer receipt of the item. I don't know if this is a legitimate message or not. I've sent a message to the buyer without response. The buyer did not negotiate for a lower price, they just paid my asking price. Has anyone received similar eBay e-mails that are legitimate?

Thank you eburtonlab and lady madonna! The email does appear to be legitimate and the funds status does show as "available". Still waiting for buyer to respond but it looks like it's a legitimate sale. Thanks!!

When in doubt, close the email, open a browser and sign in to your eBay account directly, then check your sales there.

Never use a link from a suspicious email.
