Leaving feedback for a cancelled order

Hmm. Seems eBay has it both ways. A buyer left me negative feedback after I was told by ebay it was ok to cancel their order because the buyer requested a physical alteration to the item they won and they requested significantly reduced shipping. However a seller just cancelled an order i purchased stating I requested to cancel, which I did not, and I cannot leave them feedback. So which is it, either you can leave feedback for a cancelled order or you cannot. What do you think?

You can report the seller for misrepresenting the reason for the cancellation here:

1. Select The seller has violated one of eBayâ€™s policies and click Continue.
2. On the next page, enter the seller's ID and select Other.
3. In the comment section, write "In order to avoid a defect, seller cancelled order stating that I requested the cancellation ."
