eBay gives the seller a Picture plus the choices "How did it go ? or Report Buyer"
That page contains NO links to the sale or if buyer buyer left feedback.
( so how did it go ? requires off page research )
If you have 2 or more feedback to leave it becomes a project.
Sounds like the easy choice is "Positive" and we are being strong armed to leave only positive feedback.
Oh... by the way, why do canceled and non-paying transactions appear in the leave feedback task list. They persistently stay there until you leave positive feedback for the buyer. Reporting the buyer keeps them in the list and does not expunge the entry. Weeks later after skipping and avoiding them not to give positive feedback, the entries go away.
This has been reported for over a year.

Regarding Unpaid or Cancelled items remaining on the Leave Feedback list I have been complaining about this for years because they actually remain on that list for 90 days ... yes, 90 days. I know, I timed it. Obviously, the risk is that a Buyer gets an accidental Positive Feedback that they do not deserve ... yep, I accidentally did that.
Okay here is the WHY they do this. eBay attaches "attributes" to listings and sold items for various reasons. For example, listings on a Promoted listing campaign get a 30 day timer attribute attached after someone clicks on the listing. That way eBay can charge the ad fee if the PLS campaign ends BUT the 30 day timer attribute is still running. They do the same for Sold and Unpaid sold items except the timer attribute is 90 days. They will remain on your Sold list for 90 days before being dropped off that list. If you do Sold search research eBay goes back 90 days ... see the connection?!?
Historically, Feedback can be left for 60 days but in the case of UPIs it goes out to 90 days for Sellers when the item is put on the Leave FB list, I know I tested that and here is how. I got so sick and tired of seeing UPIs on my Leave FB list that I decided to use the FB as some advertising for my eBay store ... so in and around day 85 I left a Positive FB with the following typed in:
The listing by A Variety Shop for these MARX Pre War freight cars was absolutely top notch! Really detailed and comprehensive with pictures, Condition and Description!. The Seller on this one finished 2024 in the top 5% of Sellers in the collectible train category. They are really worth considering for your toy train needs!!!
I left a similar one on another item about the same time ... why not right?!? As for paid items that get cancelled they may drop off by I know for Unpaid times that Buyers request a cancellation for within the first 3 days, those transactions remain on the Leave FB list for 90 days AND as you may know, those cannot be cancelled on day 5 giving the Buyer an Unpaid item strike (this is a recent policy change eBay made).
