Late shipment of item
I fairly new to selling on ebay. An item I have listed sold, but I'm on vacation and won't be able to ship in the time frame on the listing. I have contacted the buyer and they are fine with me shipping a few days late. But if I don't ship on-time, does ebay cancel the order for the buyer?

No, Ebay will not cancel the order, but they will issue a defect on your account for not shipping within your handling time.
In the future, do not list items for sale if you know you will not be able to ship on time.

OP2 years agoI have an Etsy shop and can easily put my shop on vacation mode when I'm out of town. Does ebay have the same feature?

·2 years agoNo, they don't cancel but they could give you a defect for not shipping within your handling time because late shipping is a bad buyer experience.
