Late Delivery when BUYER's mail is held at USPS while on vacation or they don't pick up on time

Hi I try to check my delivery status frequently to avoid any potential issues w buyers. I've noticed recently that if a buyer goes on vacation and mail is held at USPS the items are not checked in as "delivered" until the buyer picks up or has mail delivered? I've also noticed that if a buyer has a usps PO Box and they do not pick up mail the same issue applies. This does not seem fair as I ship same day usually within hours of receiving the order.

How to we get eBay to change this issue so that once items hits USPS it will then be considered "delivered" even though the buyer hasn't yet actually picked it up as they are away. Thanks

Hi @freeman6532 The package is not delivered until it's delivered. You're not downgraded on late deliveries, you're measured on late shipping and on getting an acceptance scan.
