You need to contact the buyer and arrange repayment outside of eBay. You can use whatever method you and the buyer agree upon - you can send a PayPal invoice 9you need their email address) or they can send cash via Venmo or zelle (they need your email or cell #), or even a paper check.
When you contact the buyer, also offer to send a return label if they no longer want the item.
The buyer keeps telling me he hasn't received the item even though ebay shows it was delivered. I had to refund him because it didn't arrive on time and he was threatening to complain so I just canceled the item and sent him a refund even though the card was already out of my hands
If it was a card in the standard envelope, you can file a claim for your loss. The envelope tracking is not door to door, so it is not 100% accurate. The 'delivered' scan actually comes from the last sorting center that the card passed through.
How do I file a claim thru ebay everything I've tried and the link you sent just tells me info on what is protected but doesn't allow me to talk to someone directly
In the tracking and protection section, click the tab ‘which protection is included’ to find the claim link. Click where it says shipping protection plan claim - that is the link - you don’t need to speak to anyone to submit the claim.
