Keyword spamming and deceptive listings
I used to really love eBay but now it's almost impossible to sift through all the junk to get to what I'm actually looking for. Searches for items in 10k, 14k, 18K etc and even sterling silver return so many items that look decent but upon further inspection these items are counterfeit or fake. I have seen 15 listings before I finally quit looking for one particular item and in each case the item was indeed titled as sterling silver 925 and marked as 925 sterling silver however upon reading the detailed description it is clearly stated that is buyers are looking for sterling silver they should be careful because this item was plated and only contain a very small amount of silver. Unfortunately I've also noticed that most of these listings are sponsored. And I know the eBay powers that be are not going to like this very much but I kind of wonder if they are willing to look the other way for companies that sell in mass quantities and all of their items are inferior in reality in comparison to their titles. I don't even shop much here anymore because of manipulation of search results and deceitful listings. Feel free to contact me if there's anything I can do about it other than search for another auction platform.
