OP1 year agoMost of the products I order come in Amazon packages with Amazon receipts. What details do you need? Monopolies may work for corporate owners, but are disasters for everyday citizens with no choices...

I understand the frustration. I get also angry when an item arrives from Amazon with an Amazon Gift receipt.
Those sellers are violating both eBay and Amazon policies.
Here is the eBay seller policy that applies:
Drop shipping, where you fulfill orders directly from a wholesale supplier, is allowed on eBay.
However, listing an item on eBay and then purchasing the item from another retailer or marketplace that ships directly to your customer is NOT allowed on eBay.

Not all eBay sellers are like that, at all. Most are not. All my inventory is in my possession and shipped by me directly. I avoid Amazon myself and have for many years.
It takes a bit of effort, but you can usually determine if the seller is a drop shipper by following these steps
1) Verifying where the seller is registered (if they are in a country other than USA or Canada you need to look closely. Many of the drop-shippers are registered in China or Israel. This is the seller profile to look at:

2) Review the feedback left by buyers. Often someone will leave a message that makes it clear.
3) Review the feedback %. A good eBay seller is generally north of 98.6% (easy number to remember)
4) Look at the photos - are they identical to all the other sellers? Do they include that Amazon "size" feature with the product between people's hands?
5) Look where the seller reports to be shipping from. It's not perfect, but California make me look closer. (apologies to legit California sellers)
If it happens, you can open a return request for not as described
If it happens you can leave neutral or negative feedback - "Arrived with an amazon gift receipt"

Soon, another seller will come a long to point out that some sellers store their own inventory at Amazon, and amazon is merely the shipper (3rd party logistics). This is true, but a small percentage of sellers.
For those sellers:
- If it comes with an Amazon Gift Receipt, it is NOT 3rd party logistics.
- 3rd party logistics packages are in brown boxes, not Amazon Prime packaging.
- This buyer (and me too) wants to buy from eBay small business sellers, not Amazon, and we should support that.
