It's a question about returning fake products
Hello,
I am currently living in South Korea.
I purchased an item on US eBay because it was difficult to find on eBay Korea.
Since the seller did not offer direct shipping to South Korea, I used a U.S.-based forwarding service. The item was delivered to a forwarding warehouse in the U.S. and then shipped to South Korea.
Unfortunately, a serious problem occurred.
The seller listed the item as 100% authentic, but after importing the item into South Korea and receiving it, I confirmed that the item is counterfeit.
I contacted the seller, and the seller accepted the return.
However, here is the important issue.
When the item was imported into South Korea, I paid customs duties and import taxes.
Under Korean customs regulations, to receive a tax refund, the item must be returned from South Korea back to the United States, which is the original export country.
I understand that returning the item to the U.S. would solve the tax refund issue.
However, the U.S. forwarding warehouse informed me that they do not provide return or reshipping services to sellers.
In this situation,
is there any alternative solution or recommended approach?
I would really appreciate advice from anyone who has experienced a similar case.
Thank you very much.

Mentor8 months ago@ujucho_0 I am so sorry that happened. Unfortunately per eBay policy the seller is only responsible for paying return shipping from the address that the ship to.
Also using a package forwarding company VOIDS the eBay Money Back Guarantee.
The item was sent to another address after original delivery

In the future only buy from sellers that ship directly to you OR that use the eBay International Shipping Program.
