Items purchased on my account by someone else.
My credit card showed two charges on the same day for over $200 in purchases from ebay. The items are not listed on My ebay under orders, nor did I make them. Ebay has no option to contact them in this situation that I can find, so I've refused the charges and closed the credit card that was used. Has anyone encountered a similar situation on ebay?

Mentor8 months agoIf the unauthorized charges do not appear in your eBay account but only on your credit card statement, then it would seem that someone else may have used your card number to make a purchase using a different eBay account and your own eBay account was not involved in any way.
Contact your card issuer to dispute the charges and get a new card number.

Mentor8 months agoIf you disputed the charges with your credit card company, Ebay cannot help you financially.
If you feel your Ebay account has been compromised, change your password IMMEDIATELY and set up 2 step verification. You can also report it to Ebay:
