Items being returned for more postage
Is anyone else having issues with the post office returning items claiming there isn’t enough postage?
We’ve been shipping cards in photo envelopes for over 2 years with no problems. We use them to protect the cards during shipping. The envelopes are 4.5 x 6.5, fit through the USPS size template, and weigh about 0.75 oz with the card inside (which should cost $0.79). To be safe, we’ve been marking them as 2 oz and paying $1.03.
Despite this, items are now being returned for insufficient postage. No one at the post office can clearly explain why — they just say we need to add more postage. I also can’t get through to an actual person at eBay, only the automated system.
Has anyone else experienced this recently? What are you doing differently, or what has worked for you?

If your Photo Mailers are Rigid, you need to add a non-machinable charge of 46 cents (or ship Ground Advantage), but even then, your tracking may not be read.
In order to ship eBay Standard envelope, the envelope must be flexible enough to wrap around a mug, such as a standard #6 or #10 envelope
