item was supposed to arrive in march, seller has been ignoring my messages for months
I ordered an item February this year and the seller told me it would be at most a 3 month wait from the time of shipment (2/14/23, so the latest it would arrive would be 5/14/23). After 3 months, I messaged the seller on 5/31/23 asking about it and what could be done. They ignored me, so I messaged them again, which was ignored AGAIN. According to eBay's automated customer service, since it's 90 past the expected delivery date (3/10/23, two months earlier than the seller said my item would arrive at latest, meaning that I would have missed the return window anyway since I took them at their word that it would be at most 3 months) I can no longer open a case and request a refund. Is there anything I can do to get my money back? This is not the first time eBay customer service has failed me so I'm hesitant to contact an agent.

Ebay Customer Service has not "failed" you. It is too late to file a Refund Request if the estimated date of delivery according to Ebay was 3/10/23. You had 30 days from the estimated date of delivery to file a Refund Request.
You can file a dispute through Paypal or contact your credit card company.
Good luck.
