Item was removed
I created a listing to sell a Medtronic Health monitor. The listing was removed by eBay saying that you can't sell a prescription device. Fine, I can accept that. EXCEPT that there are 246 other listings of the exact same item. Same name brand and same model number. Seems rather arbitrary. Why was mine removed and not the other 246? No difference in the wording either.

Mentor1 year agoUnfortunately eBay works like the cop watching for speeders. They catch some and some never get caught. The AI that checks for problems does not always catch every violation. eBay also relies on other users reporting violations that they see. So most likely someone saw your listing and reported it (usually another seller of the item). Do not relist or your account can be suspended. Best to call customer service an talk with them about the listing.
You can contact customer service using this link to ask for a call back: https://www.ebay.com/help/contact_us?id=4191&st=10 Please note that if the wait time for a call back is too long eBay will remove the option until the wait time is shorter. Just try again later. Customer service is open from 5am to 9pm Pacific Time.

OP1 year agoOkay. I could see if there were three or four similar items that violated standards that mine might be flagged randomly, but there are 246 items pretty much identical. Oh well.
