Item was not delivered to my unit but left in a public location where it got stolen

Seller did not do anything to help. As far as they were concerned it was delivered. I will never buy from them again.

I would like to add to what has already been provided. You need to contact your local police and file a stolen property report with them. Get a copy of the report and see if you can file an insurance claim with your Home owners or Renters Insurance for stolen property.

For the future, contact the carrier who delivered your package (UPS< FedEx, USPS) and instruct them on exactly where you want your packages delivered.

It's a shame that there are thieves out there.

You need to provide a safe place to have your packages delivered.

Or perhaps you can have them delivered to your workplace, a relative's house or even a mail box center business where they can be safely held until you pick them up.

A seller cannot be responsible for protecting your packages once they are delivered.

I know that it seems frustrating, but it's up to you to find a place to have your items delivered and protected safely.
