item was not delivered but tracking states that it was and the buyer wants a refund.
I sent an item out using ebay standard envelope, tracking states that the item was delivered. However, the buyer states that it was not delivered to him. They are requesting a refund, what do I have to do to ensure I get my money? Thank you.

I recommend taking a look at this post by a fellow mentor that has some great info on shipping with the eBay standard envelope. Sometimes the reason for the missed scans is due to a sellers packaging and sometimes it's lack of automated scan equipment.

Here is a link to the eBay Standard Envelope Help Page: eBay standard envelope | eBay
There is no door to door tracking with this feature so the Buyer may or may not be telling the truth. Filing a claim is explained on the Help Page.

OP2 years agoHi mr_licoln,
Thank you for your help. Should I go ahead and issue him a refund then file a claim or file a claim then issue it?
