When you list an item at a fixed price - buy it now only - there is really no seller involvement until the item sells. What were you expecting to need to do?
ebay does notify you when an item sells - did you check your junk mail or spam folders? Some mail providers filter out eBay messages.
When you list an item for sale here, you should check in at least once a day - potential buyers may have questions, and a quick response often gets you a quick sale.
