Item sold with zero inventory
I sold an item on Nov 3th and at the time of the sale it showed I had zero inventory. I was able to fill this order anyhow. Then on Nov 13th the same item sold again and again showing I had zero inventory. I was also able to fill this order. Now Dec 18 I have again sold this item but I can not fill this order and will have to cancel the order. What I don't understand is why these orders are going through if it says there is no inventory? I feel this has happened multiple times for me. I will now end the listing after I cancel this order but my issue is this then reflects badly on my seller rating.
I have also have certain items listed as pickup only that are big and heavy and expensive to ship. These items I often go outside of the shipping options avail within ebay so I list them as pickup only but if the customer is interested I will look into shipping cost. The problem is the customer just goes ahead and buys the item then sends me an email and asks me to calculate the shipping. Which I do. But then again I need to cancel the order and increase the price and have them repurchase the item. But this again reflects poorly on my seller rating. Then if I can not get my seller rating up ebay says they will limit the number of items that I can list. How can I prevent this?
