Item sold on another source before I could cancel the selling on ebay
I offered an item for sale on several selling sites. Before the ebay buyer attempted to buy the item I had for sale, it was sold on another selling site. The buyer has paid for the item but I contacted him and let him know that the item sold on another selling site. He needs to get his money back from ebay.

·1 year agoYou need to cancel the order, which will refund the customer. The money will come from your pending funds or your funding source (bank account usually) depending on a number of factors.
Go to the Order Details page, click More Actions, and select Cancel Order. The correct reason to select here is Out of Stock. You will get a defect on your account, which is something you should take seriously, but you should not face penalties over a single cancelled order. Do not make it a habit, however, as eBay will impose penalties or even potentially suspend your account if you cancel too many orders, and it doesn't take many.
