item sold for a different price than was listed

hellothis has never happened to me before.item was listed with a 80.00 first bid and a 104.00 buy it nowI got a message from ebay that the item has sold for 60.00my original listing was still active ( i ended it this morn), even though i got the 60.00 sold messagefeels like a mistake/scam?

I do not see any Sold items on your account for $ 60. The last item you sold was the MTH Redbird subway car for $ 40. If something actually sold it would be in this file in Seller Hub awaiting a shipping label from you: Orders — eBay Seller Hub

I am a little confused by your last statement, "my original listing was still active ( i ended it this morn), even though i got the 60.00 sold message". If an auction sells it is moved to the awaiting payment file and if it gets paid for it goes the file link provided above, it does not remain Active. If you End a listing it is moved to your Inactive-unsold file.

It is possible that you received a spoof message, use the three dot menu in the upper right of the eBay message and report it.
