Item sent Ground Advantage delivered to wrong address by USPS and can’t be located
I am a seller who was contacted by my buyer stating that the tracking on their order showed delivered but they did not get it. I had the buyer contact their postal carrier and request the gps location of package when it was scanned as delivered. It was determined that the postal worker did in fact leave it at the wrong address. The post office contacted the people at the wrong address in an attempt to retrieve the package and were told they did not have the package. I, as the seller purchased USPS Ground Advantage shipping through EBay when item was sold. Can I file a claim for this item and reimburse my seller for the purchase and if so how do I do that. Also my buyer has not opened any type of missing item case through EBay at this point and has just been solely corresponding with me through EBay messages if that matters. Thanks in advance for any help in this matter.

Mentor1 year agoYes, if you want to be a good seller, rather than have the buyer do this, go to the USPS website and file a claim and make sure to include the documentation that the item was incorrectly delivered to an unrelated address to the tracking number. Do this now, if it has been 21 days since shipped, the claim should be paid.
