If the buyer hadn't paid how did you get their address?

Never ship an item before you are paid. If you did the Buyer is under no obligation to pay you.

I used the invoice as ebay says and mailed item then he said he would pay but never did wow

When auctions End with a winning bid eBay sends the Buyer an invoice. If you send one on top of that it still requires payment BEFORE you ship. You are a new Seller and a target for scammers. The Buyer is not going to pay you. Hopefully you will learn from this and not make this mistake again.
