Item returned undeliverable buyer failed to have apt. # on their profile
I had an item returned by USPS as "undeliverable"....when I contact the buyer he says I left off the apartment # on the address label. But ebay produced the shipping label and there's no mention of an apartment anywhere. The buyer wants me to ship it back to him to the "correct" apartment #, but the shipping was roughly the value of the item.

This is a common occurrence. Message the Buyer and let them know that for your mutual protection the path of least resistance is for YOU the Seller to refund the item price but not the original shipping, that money was spent on the round trip the package took. Let the Buyer know an undeliverable package causes them to lose their eBay Money Back Guarantee protection. You can then Cancel using the reason Problem with address, Relist the item and the Buyer can purchase it again.
eBay has no provisions to have the Buyer pay you for a second label through eBay. That is another issue with just trying to ship it again.
