Item returned from authentication center

I recently listed and sold a pair of used Nike shoes and they were returned to me from the authentication center --- it was explained that there was more wear than listing indicated. So am I to understand that the buyer never even say these shoes?

That's right, they were not in good enough to send on to the buyer .
