Item returned because buyer moved and left no forwarding address.
The item was returned to me marked "return to sender - unable to forward." The tracking shows USPS tried to deliver the item, but that the buyer had moved and left no forwarding address. I suppose I should wait to see if the buyer reports that the item was never delivered before I do anything - but this feels a little scam-like. Anyone had a similar experience? Thoughts would be much appreciated!

I don't suspect a scam at all, I just suspect the buyer didn't update his address after he moved and didn't verify the displayed address was correct at checkout (this is a common occurrence).
What you can do is refund the buyer for the item price only (not including shipping if stated as a separate cost). Then send a message explaining that the item was returned and the reason and let him know that you've relisted (along with the item #) so he can repurchase with the correct address. Remind him to be sure to review the displayed address at checkout and use the change link next to it to correct it.
You can use the Send refund link in the dropdown next to the transaction in your Orders list. You'll receive a fee credit for the amount you're refunding.
