Item represented as an antique and I know it isn't.
Want to by some drawer pulls/cabinet knobs. Seller is saying that the same knobs I bought new a few years ago, regular retail.
Are sellers allowed to misrepresent their merchandise?

Of course Sellers are not allowed to misrepresent what they are selling. You can report the listing for that reason. If you feel that the Seller is not being honest, I would pass and find another Seller. Be sure to check their feedback and how long they have been selling on eBay. Look for red flags.
