Item refunded even though seller offer made, accepted and paid for
The seller cancelled and refunded without consultation. They made offer, I accepted, paid then they changed their minds saying their software messed up……..
as contract complete, they should honour their error if it was one as I would expect to do in reverse. Not good at all, and eBay does not seem to allow reporting if such behaviour so others kniw and can be cautious when dealing with this seller ……

Maybe the software error inhibited the seller's ability to consult. Yeah, that's the ticket. My cynical side, despite all attempt to suppress it, suggests to me that the seller probably got a better offer. You might be consoled by knowing that the seller received a Defect on his account by cancelling the transaction, unless he lied and said that the reason was that the buyer requested it. Was that the reason chosen by the seller?
If so, you can report that at https://www.ebay.com/help/buying/resolving-issues-sellers/report-issue-seller?id=4022 Scroll on down to the Report a seller button. Then the "violated policy" radio button, then "doesn't want to complete sale" radio button, and in Additional details something like "Seller falsely chose "Buyer Request" to cancel transaction, in order to avoid getting a Defect. I did NOT request the cancellation."
