Item priced at a fraction of value and seller has 0 feedback
I have been shopping for an ipad pro. Earlier today I found a listing for the 11 inch model, 3rd gen at $160. This price seemed suspicious. It said that 1 was sold with 3 more available. I chose to buy two of them and was sidetracked for about an hour while in the process of paying with PayPal. When I got back home and tried to finish the purchase I was unable(the item reported that it had sold out). This evening I came across another listing, coincidentally also for $160 and with a different seller name that, too, had 0(zero) feedback/transaction history. This listing is for the 12.9 inch version. If I pay with PayPal am I at any risk of losing my money if the listing turns out to be fraudulent?

·2 years agoBoth listings, at a fraction of true value and for a limited time, are most likely fraudulent. "Too good to be true" is a typical red flag for a scam. eBay enforces holds on the funds of new sellers, particularly those selling consumer electronics. The seller typically won't receive payment for about 21 days. In the meantime, your purchase history will state the expected delivery date. If that date passes with no delivery, you can open a "not received" request from within your purchase history.

Another $160 listing with a 0 feedback seller. Sort of getting greedy, aren't they, if they're all the same person.
BTW: I do have the first one in my recently viewed items. Let me know if you want the info on that one, too.

·2 years agoThank you for reporting this scam. I'll try to get them, and the others, reported - there are at least 10 of these, and potentially 1400 more sellers set up for further scams. What is the number from your recently viewed?
