Item Picked up 6 -digit code not valid

Question

Hi, we had a buyer pick up an item today. When entering the 6-digit code it is coming back as invalid. The buyer has already left with the product. We have emailed the buyer awaiting a response. Any suggestions on what other options we have to make sure we get paid for the item.

Are you sure the buyer paid? Do you see the payment on your eBay account?

None of the recent sales have 'local pickup' as an option, so there wouldn't be a code sent to the buyer.

If the buyer paid and you can SEE the buyer's payment here:

then the buyer paid.

You should mark them as shipped from the drop-down list to the right, here:

https://www.ebay.com/mys/sold

Then, if you wish, you can gently encourage your buyer to leave feedback for you. (Being too pushy can backfire.)

If you do not see the buyer's payment, then I would talk to the police department.
