Item not working after 1 month

Question

Hi there I have sold an electronic item on July 18th that was tested and working, and have received a message from the buyer on August 10th that the item is on the fritz and not working properly. I need help directing them and myself to a solution. Should they start a return request through eBay? It’s been almost a month since the purchase does that time out that sort of request? All I received was a direct message after a positive review of the item working as described.

@mdqu_9304 ,If the item was received by the buyer less than 30 days ago. Tell them to go to the More Actions button in their purchase history, and click on it to file a return request.
