Item not received/stolen
I was looking at items a seller has. Won an auction from same seller. The description for my item stated photo is actual item. Seller shipped from California. 2 fast days later item DELIVERED in NJ. I Never received it nor was mail delivered at all to my building. Seller now has same ad with the EXACT SAME PHOTO from my auction as active auction. My case was closed and no refund.
How can the exact item with same markings, scratches, and flaws that I supposedly received be for sale again?
What should I do?
Can I post both listings here so I can get agreement that at least the photos are of the same item? If not Where? This is making me nuts.

Mentor3 years agoIf you filed an Item not REceived case and they closed it because the tracking shows delivered, you need to appeal that with Ebay and give them the information showing it was delivered in NJ, not your address.
Here are your options for contacting Ebay Customer Service.

If when you use the link below you can only get to the Automated Assistant, type AGENT in the box and hit enter. You will then get more options.

OP3 years agoI appealed and lost. The item I won is miraculously on Auction again. Same description and photos. EXACTLY.
So 1 item was delivered to me, is also lost at post office, is also lost in my neighborhood, and is also for sale again 3000 miles away.

Mentor3 years agoI simply have no idea what is going on here. Have you reported it directly to Ebay?

OP3 years agoI just now discovered the new Auction. Ebay is closed now. Came here seeking 'understanding' in the least.
I wish I could post the link to both items but I don't think I am allowed to do that.
Most of the responses are to do everything I've already done over and over for 2 weeks.
If it says delivered it's delivered.
Ask every postal employee and resident in the largest city in NJ.
Exaggerating but that's what I hear when I get basic information.

Since you left negative feedback for the seller, I was able to view the item you purchased.
Then I looked at the seller's current listings for sale, and I do not see the same item listed as the one you purchased.

OP3 years agoPerhaps the item was removed when you looked or your eyes aren't keen enough to distinguish discrepancies. Thanks for insinuating I didn't know what I was talking about or perhaps making it up for attention.

Mentor3 years agoWell not exactly. There is a scam out there where things get shipped to your zip code, but not your address. My husband had it happen once, not an Ebay purchase. And I've had it happen once on Ebay and another time on a different site.
For the one that happened on Ebay, being a seller I know it is hard win an INR when the tracking shows delivered. So I first collected some evidence. I contacted the carrier and acquired the weight on the package which was no where close to what I purchased would have been. They also told me the address it was shipped to. I gathered all this info, created a MS Word document and put it all in there. I also started the document off with my summary of what happened followed by screen shots of the info I had gathered.
When we open an claim we only are able to attach one document, which is why I built the MS Word file as that is easiest for me. A PDF will work too.
So I opened my INR and I attached my document. The seller never ended up responding to the claim at all, which is NOT like it is on an INAD at all. The lack of a seller responding to an INR does not mean the buyer wins. But in this case Ebay did rule in my favor because of the info I had collected.
