Item not received from Buyer’s International forwarding service, shows delivered, should I refund?
I sold an item to a buyer (56 positive feedback, no negatives) that listed a ship-to address out of Miami that appears to be a global shipping business called Global Shopex. FYI my eBay listings all state that I only ship Internationally using EBay Global Shipping. And I did not know at the time of sale that the buyer was in Chile and not in Miami.
Order was on Oct 17, 2022 and tracking shows “Delivered to Agent for Final Delivery†on Oct 24. The buyer is requesting a refund because he has not received item. My questions are:
- Shouldn’t Global Shopex be responsible for the loss since USPS Tracking shows delivered to them?
- Will I get a defect on my rating if I DON’T refund?
- Will I get a defect on my rating if I DO refund?
- Will I get a defect on my rating if I DO Refund minus the shipping?
My opinion is that the buyer’s issue is with Global Shopex and I shouldn’t be responsible. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

·3 years agoIf buyer opens a Refund Case, indicate that buyer used a forwarding company to get item. It was shipped from the Kentucky shipping hub to a forwarding company. The eBay money back guarantee does not cover this situation.
