Item not received and refund denied by eBay.
Hello (TLDR ..)
I ordered an item on August 27th and it was listed as "shipped (untracked)" by USPS on September the 5th, with an arrival date of between September 18 and Oct 10. October 10th came and went with no arrival so I contacted the seller and received no response. After that I contacted ebay, and pretty quickly got a shipping notification via FedEx (?) from the seller, but the seller never responded to my message (and never has). On the date that the item was listed as delivered, it was not at my home. I checked the tracking and found that it was shipped to a completely different address in my city, about 4 miles away, nowhere near me. It was not an address with similar numbers or anything like that, it was just a completely different random house. Again contacted the seller and never received a reply, and have never received a reply to any of my messages to them. I started a case with ebay, and they simply said that since the tracking information said that the item was delivered they would not provide a refund. They were completely uninterested in the fact that whatever item was sent, and I cannot verify by any means that it was actually the item I bought, was sent to a completely different location. I made this point very clearly in my request for a refund and subsequent appeal which was also denied. To me this seems to violate the very purpose of a money-back guarantee. I paid for the item, and I never received the item and I can prove that it was sent to a different location. Do I have any recourse at all?

Mentor10 months agoYou needed to appeal the case and attach a document from the carrier indicating the tracking number was not associated with your address.
Probably you best recourse now is to file a case through the payment processor with this information.
