item not received
Proved that the seller used a fraudulent tracking number. Ebay refuses to accept that I proved that the item was never received. Will not refund monies as stated in guarantee.
All a big lie!

Mentor4 months agoTake the tracking number down to your local carrier's office and have them check their GPS for where the package was delivered. If it was NOT addressed to you and your address, have the clerk state that on their letterhead. They don't need to state the name/address attached to the tracking number, just that it was not addressed to YOU.

Explain that the seller is using fake tracking numbers
Include these phrases:
Seller uploaded tracking not associated with my transaction
Tracking details were not accurate
Seller use a false tracking number
Don't write a novel, it's initially being read by a computer, that's why I want you to use those 3 specific phrases in the message.

OP4 months agoDid that and sent copy of letter from UPS stating it wasnt my item and delivered to a different address.
Basically was told tracking number states you got it. Too Bad you lose.
Customer service actually hung up on me trying to explain.

Mentor4 months ago@kakmin I'm sorry that happened. It sounds like you did the first 2 steps already.
1)
b) If your name and address weren't on that label, ask the Post Office/shipper if they will put this in writing; it's helpful, but not required. Also, ask for the weight of the package using that tracking number. Follow the rest of the steps starting with 2 below:
FOR UPS:
You can usually find the weight and other details for UPS here:
https://www.ups.com/track?loc=en_US&requester=ST/
then click " Proof of Delivery"
The proof of delivery may have more details about the delivery site, and the weight. Screenshot that.
FOR FEDEX:
You can usually find the weight and other details for FedEx here:
https://www.fedex.com/en-us/tracking.html
Then click 'View More Details' to see the package weight. Screenshot that.
2) Then, report the seller using this process
https://www.ebay.com/help/action?topicid=4022
Important, select "Suspicious seller activity"
then "Other"
Explain that the seller is using fake tracking numbers
Include these phrases
Seller uploaded tracking not associated with my transaction
Tracking details were not accurate
Seller used a false tracking number
Don't write a novel, it's initially being read by a computer, that's why I want you to use those 3 specific phrases in the message.
3) Finally, contact Customer Service and inform them that the seller uploaded a "false tracking number" on your purchase. Share any documentation you gathered. Request a refund.
Use the Customer Service that is on Instagram this way:
Send a private direct message to the page. Explain you have a fake or false tracking number situation.
If the above steps do not result in a refund then you will have to pursue a chargeback with your funding source ( bank, credit card, etc) . Once you ask your funding source to step in eBay can no longer assist you so save this option for last.

OP4 months agoI did all these things.
I showed proof from UPS that the item was not my item and that it was a rx that went to a different address.
I was just told tracking says you received, too bad you lose.
I appealed it and it was immediately turned down. They never even researched it with UPS.
Tracking number came from different state than of seller and to a different than mine address.

Mentor4 months ago@kakmin. Next step is to contact your payment method and file a chargeback. Be sure to tell them that you are a victim of a false tracking scam
