How can I ask Ebay to step in on an item where the return/refund window has closed. The battery supplied does not have the charge as mentioned in the seller's ad and is smaller with a larger maH label. Seller has only replied with a generic answer over a week ago. Can't find any links to contact Ebay other than the chatbot.

The eBay Money Back Guarantee over rules the sellers return policy. You have 30 days from the date of delivery to file a not as described return request. If it's past 30 days then you have to contact your credit card about a chargeback.
Here's what you need to do:
Open a return with the reason doesn't match description or photos.
Select the return item button on this page:

4 business days after filing the return request if the seller has not provided a return shipping label or a full refund then ask eBay to step in and help: https://www.ebay.com/help/buying/returns-refunds/ask-ebay-to-step-in?id=4701
Let me know if you need to return an item to another country as there are additional steps required. The seller pays return shipping for an item that is not as described no matter where they are located.

OP1 year agoThank you for your reply, unfortunately the item is not listed for return as the return window closed in August. I've only just used the battery and realised it is not what I ordered. Following is the message I received over a week ago.

Nothing since. Ebay Money back Guarantee is only valid for 30 days from delivery. I've never had a problem like this before, so will certainly check before buying items of this nature in future. Thank you

Mentor1 year ago@nugget_au2. I'm sorry but ebay's money back guarantee is only 30 days from the date of delivery, a customer service agent cannot extend this.
Your only option now is if you paid with a credit card or sometimes a bank debit card they offer longer Return periods for items that are significantly not to have subscribed
