Item never received - shipped to wrong address - eBay appeal denied
I ordered a 1 leter bottle of olive oil. The package was due to arrive on May 22, 2024. The tracking number and Tracking showed it was delivered but I was home all day and it wasn't. The proof of delivery photo provided by UPS was not my residence. I called UPS and they said that the name and address on tracking number that was provided to me by eBay did not match the name and address I was giving to UPS and that the seller had to provide the correct info. I opened an eBay claim and sent multiple messages to the seller. The seller never contacted UPS to rectify the name and address. When the case was old enough for me to ask eBay to step in, the seller beat me to it and asked that the case be closed. eBay closed the case in seller's favor and I appealed, stating that the seller never contacted UPS to rectify the NON DELIVERY. UPS will not allow me to open a claim as the receiver. eBay has denied my appeal. I can't get in touch with anyone at eBay to talk to. Is there any recourse? Or do I have to eat the cost of a product I never received?
